Tape two A4 Sheets of paper together along the long side. Place the now large Sheet of paper on the base of Laptop and mark the holes with a screwdriver or pen, undo one screw at a time and tape it to the relevant hole or mark on sheet of paper. Do the same with Motherboard and Top casing. any rear screws can be just set aside. A perfect way to organize your screws. |

Work in Layers, Make sure you don’t block any holes by the motherboard and at all times be aware of electrostatic charges. You should use antistatic wrist straps but you can get away without it. Earth yourself on a metal sink or radiator or if no other means touch the screw on a wall socket then don't move feet, don't work on carpet or socks. Static can zap electric components. To give you an idea of what Static charge is: Rub a balloon on some fabric then put it close to your hair if you have any you will feel your hair rising due to electro magnet effect, now touch the balloon and you will get a mild shock, that small part of electricity is what does the damage. |

A safe and easy way to remove that stubborn Socket and to replace it with a nice new one: Trying to remove the socket in one piece can be good for diagnosis purposes but will need a lot of work with a normal soldering iron hence a lot of heat applied to the motherboard and risking damaging components nearby!!. |
